Symphonic Storm

Thunder and lightning
Can be so frightening

The boom that makes the heart skip
Like a cannon that roars from a ship

The sudden snapping flash
Like a whipping lash

OR

The booming hum
So like a drum

The flash of light
With searing might

Like a perfect symphony
Filled with excitement, longing, and magical anticipation
Sending waves of intense elation

The energy circulating
Rain water percolating

Rising like a whirlwind
Performing the perfect minuet

The tempo changes
As the conductor arranges

And then silence
A quiet calmness
And surreal stillness
